The Blossom Project is a Big Yellow Umbrella initiative designed to support and empower women in our community through connection, skill‑building and confidence‑building opportunities. It provides a safe, welcoming space where women can learn new skills, build supportive relationships and take positive steps toward greater independence and wellbeing.
What the Blossom Project Offers
The program brings women together to participate in practical, creative and life‑enhancing activities. Depending on the term, this may include:
- hands‑on workshops and short courses
- opportunities to learn practical life skills
- creative activities that build confidence and self‑expression
- pathways to further training or education
- supportive group environments that encourage connection and belonging
One example includes an introductory floristry course delivered in partnership with TAFE, giving participants the chance to explore a new skill in a supportive, community‑based setting.
Who the Program Supports
The Blossom Project is designed for women who may benefit from:
- increased confidence and self‑esteem
- opportunities to learn new skills
- supportive social connections
- gentle pathways back into education, training or community life
- a safe, encouraging environment to grow at their own pace
Women from all backgrounds are welcome, and no previous experience is required.
