Creating Connections
Big Yellow Umbrella is proud to be part of a vibrant, diverse and caring community. Throughout the year, we host and participate in events that celebrate, support and bring people together across Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly. These events create opportunities for connection, learning, recognition and fun — and they help strengthen the wellbeing of our whole community.
Celebrating Our Community, Together
Each year, we take part in key dates on the community calendar, including:
- Seniors Week – recognising the contributions of older residents and celebrating active ageing
- Carers Week – honouring the dedication of unpaid carers and providing opportunities for connection and support
- Youth Week – celebrating young people, their creativity, and their role in shaping our community
- R U OK? Day – promoting meaningful conversations and mental health awareness
- Mental Health Awareness Week – encouraging wellbeing, resilience and access to support
- Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea – raising funds and awareness for cancer research
- NAIDOC Week – celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
These events reflect our commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and community connection.
