Community Role

Kimberwalli provides culturally grounded programs that strengthen identity, leadership, and opportunity for Aboriginal young people. Its work spans education support, cultural learning, creative programs, employment pathways, mentoring, and community events. The centre is designed as a safe, empowering space where young people can explore their strengths, build confidence, and connect with culture, community, and future opportunities. Kimberwalli collaborates with schools, families, community organisations, and employers to create holistic support systems for Aboriginal youth.

Connection to Big Yellow Umbrella

Big Yellow Umbrella supports families, young people, and community members across the Macarthur region, including many Aboriginal families who benefit from culturally safe programs and pathways. Kimberwalli’s focus on cultural strength, youth empowerment, and community‑led learning aligns closely with BYU’s commitment to inclusive, respectful, and community‑driven support. This creates opportunities for collaboration through youth programs, cultural initiatives, leadership development, and shared community events.
