Big Yellow Umbrella’s Children’s Services Program delivers a wide range of services and activities to families and children residing in the Macarthur LGA.

The program is funded by the NSW Department of Education & Training and NSW Department of Community and Justice is supported by local services, schools and organisations in the Macarthur Region.

A Community Worker provides families with referrals to other services; delivers parenting support and education; facilitates supported playgroups and other activities that help build an enriched and connected community.

Playgroups & Programs

Our playgroups are facilitated by staff with a broad range of qualifications and experience. Workers plan and implement developmental programs where children have fun while learning and engaging in active play. The following playgroups operate during school terms and are open to 0 - 6 year olds unless otherwise stated:

Tuesday Play

Tuesday Play Supported Playgroup focuses on promoting strong and healthy relationships between children and parents as well as their wider community.

 

 

Playlinks

Playlinks Supported playgroup offers a comprehensive developmental program that provides a welcoming and secure environment for parents to share their experiences or concerns with other families and our staff.

Little Umbrella

Little Umbrella Supported Playgroup provides a nurturing and inclusive space where parents can connect with other families and share their experiences or concerns. 

 

Baby La La

The Baby La La Program is a nurturing and engaging experience for babies under 12 months old, focusing on holistic development through music, movement, and play.

 

Country Kids

Country Kids Playgroup is a community-led initiative guided by a qualified Community Worker. Our primary goals are to strengthen parent-child bonds, promote social interactions, and enhance early learning skills in a nurturing environment. 

Transition to School

The Transition to School Program is for children who are getting ready to go to big school. The sessions run for one hour per week during Term 3 and 4 and include outcomes that are reflected in the Early Years Learning Framework.
